I love playing new courses and while visiting this course was planned it was also my way of blowing off some steam as well as work on a few timing issues that emerged during a lackluster tournament performance. As often is for me, I performed much better in casual play (it was my second round of the day, so it might also have been that I had finally warmed up some).
